SERVICES

Insurance:

The Cleansing Center does NOT accept medicare nor may patients submit receipts for services rendered at The Cleansing Center to medicare for reimbursement as The Cleansing Center has opted out of Medicare. Payment is expected by patients at time services are rendered; however, each patient is supplied a receipt with corresponding coding for services rendered appropriate for submission to patient's health insurance provider based on the diagnosis determined by our medical director and nursing staff providing services. In today's healthcare environment when medical services are refused for reimbursement and a patient must fight the insurance company for routine and legitimate charges; the services provided by The Cleansing Center are not "routine" and insurance providers are even more hesitant to reimburse patients for our services. The Cleansing Center wishes to stay out of the larger social issue relating to insurance reimbursements. The Cleansing Center will not under any circumstances change the coding on a receipt in an attempt to expedite insurance reimbursement to patients when such coding inaccurately depicts the diagnosis for which services were provided.

Since many of the services provided at The Cleansing Center are preventive in nature and do NOT treat a currently diagnosed disease--they are NOT reimbursable by insurance. Until public policy changes from treatment for sickness to treatment for prevention; our services will be limited to those who can afford to pay out of pocket.

Assessment:

People get sick because they have been:
• exposed to something in a high concentration which overwhelms their defenses
• exposed to something over a long duration which overwhelms their defenses
• exposed to something (even at minute levels) at a time when they have a particular weakness (genetic predisposition, compromised immune system, nutritional deficiencies, physical/emotional stress) which makes them susceptible to disease.

Little can be done to change a person’s genetic make up; however, much can be done to:
• Limit exposure to chemicals, microbes, viruses, bacteria, molds and fungus that cause disease
• Boost the immune system
• Improve nutritional status
• Minimize physical and emotional stress

Each client will receive an assessment by a registered nurse or physician accompanied by a comprehensive history of illness, surgeries, dietary intake, stress related events, injuries and general toxicity. Clients will be offered laboratory testing including typical blood and urine analysis as well as screening for heavy metal toxicity, parasites, sexually transmitted diseases and viral/bacterial infections. Clients determined to have acute conditions requiring immediate intervention beyond the scope of care offered at The Cleansing Center will be referred to their primary care provider or the emergency department of a local hospital.
